An actor making a movie on the streets of Crawfordville, Indiana was apparently doing his job a little too well. The performance was so convincing, someone called 9-1-1 and reported a robbery was taking place at a local brewery.
Actor Jim Duff was wearing a ski mask and brandishing a prop gun outside the Backstop Brewing Company in Crawfordsville when a local police officer arrived on the scene.
The Crawfordsville cop’s body camera captured the encounter. The officer actually fired a shot at the man as he shouted, “Drop the gun! Drop the gun now!”
Despite being fired upon by the police officer, Duff calmly responded, “We’re doing a movie.”
Indiana State Police are investigating.
