On This Day, Back In The Day

1790 – Rhode Island finally ratified the Constitution — the last of the 13 original colonies to do so

1917 – John Fitzgerald Kennedy is born. 43 years later, Kennedy became the youngest man elected president of the U.S.

1942 – Bing Crosby records “White Christmas” — the record would sell more than 30 million copies

2005 – Danica Patrick becomes the first woman to lead the Indianapolis 500 — with 10 laps to go! Fuel concerns forced her to slow down…ultimately, Patrick finished 4th. (This past weekend was her last Indy 500.)
