Why Did Las Vegas Security Guard Jesus Campos Give His First/Last Interview to Ellen DeGeneres?

Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos was slated to appear on a host of big television show earlier this week. He had been booked on Sean Hannity’s show as well as big news programs on NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN.

Then he went missing.

With Campos missing in action, the rumor mill started speculating about the possible reasons. Was Campos an accomplice to the Las Vegas mad man?

Had the FBI isolated Campos to try and learn more about the October 1st attack that killed 58 people and wounded hundreds?

Perhaps he was just shy?

We learned the real reason today as Jesus Campos and Mandalay Bay engineer Stephen Shuck were not available to the regular news media…They were headed to Los Angeles for an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show.

If you follow the money, the move makes sense.

It was just a few weeks ago, DeGeneres reportedly signed a lucrative deal to place the slot machines connected to her show inside MGM casinos. DeGeneres even made an appearance at the MGM Grand recently, surprising fans playing the new game.

Mandalay Bay is an MGM property. Campos and Shuck are employees of MGM.

Mystery solved.

During the course of the interview, Campos told DeGeneres he was telling her the story and then stopping,

Police have told several news outlets both men are still cooperating with their investigation.

Listen to Mike break down the interview and explain what could be the logical reason Campos decided to skip the big network news interviews to show up on Ellen’s couch.
